It’s with delight today that we can announce that Peaky Digital has been named as one of the Best Places to Work in Cornwall by the Best Employers Group.
The news reached us a few weeks ago, and we’ve been excited to share with the world ever since!
A huge thanks to the team, who have been at the core of this great achievement. Every single one of them makes Peaky the place it is to work, so a big shout-out to them. And to our clients – we wouldn’t be able to do the things we do without your support!
The Best Places to Work accreditation looks at everything from Peaky’s leadership, planning and culture, to our training, team development and benefits, and we’re really proud to be recognised as a best-in-class employer – it’s something that we’ve been passionate about every step of the way as we’ve taken our team from just three to eighteen over the past three years.
It’s been an amazing experience to grow the team in such a short space of time, all whilst retaining our boutique working environment. When the pandemic came and many organisations were shrinking, we took the plunge and our focus has been on cultivating a strong team of like-minded people ever since.
As Directors, we’re constantly looking at the bigger picture of the business, but we’re passionate about making sure that the team are engaged with that vision and that they feel there’s space for them to develop. Culture is really important for us and it’s at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that this culture needs to be there from the very start for each team member, which is why for each role our interview list is drawn up after a set of culture calls – ensuring that the candidate is primarily the right fit for our team and our values. The Peaky values make up a big part of day-to-day life in the business and is something in which our management lead by example.
As a small business, we focus on being creative with the benefits and perks that we can offer to our team, and we’re particularly passionate about making a difference where we can – which is why we always consult with the team to find out what’s most important to them, and regularly review our benefits package.
Focus group discussions have led to the introduction of perks including birthdays off, pawternity leave and digital nomad schemes, where employees can work globally for 30 days a year.
It’s important to us that team members never sit still, which is why we invest a huge amount of resource into upskilling and developing team members. Alongside on-the-job and regular development training we do monthly lunch & learn presentations, podcast Friday, mentoring programmes with Directors and more.
We’ve got a lot on the horizon, and it’s a super exciting time to be part of the team. In the coming months, we’re launching new services, developing our existing portfolio and are looking at beginning the process of becoming a BCORP – a move which we believe will help us champion our positive impact as a business and help us continue to develop our status as a Best Place to Work.
To everyone that’s supported and backed us – it means the world!
Brand awareness, business growth or a bigger and better ROI, our team of digital specialists are here to help you get the most from your brand. Let's start a new partnership today.
